About this fabric

This plain velvet has the plush, light-catching look you expect from a classic pile fabric, with the colour staying fairly even across the face of the cloth. The papaya shade is a warm orange with a gently softened, slightly toasted edge, so it feels lively without turning neon or overly red. Made from 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, it is specified for Curtains, Loose Cover Upholstery and Fixed Upholstery, and the 137cm width makes it practical for larger projects. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grading for Contract and General Domestic use, it is a strong choice where colour and durability both matter.

How to use it

Use Papaya to warm up neutral upholstery, especially alongside pale timber, stone or oatmeal fabrics. It also works well as a bold accent on a bench, armchair or cushions when you want a cheerful, polished focal point.

Use on tailored upholstery or statement cushions to bring warm, lively colour into a scheme.
