Omega Velvet 4 Parakeet is a vivid, jewel-toned green velvet with a smooth, softly reflective pile. The colour reads bright and leafy at the highlights, then deepens into a darker forest green in the folds.

About this fabric

This plain velvet has the plush, directional surface you can see in the swatch, with a subtle nap that catches the light and gives the colour extra movement. The 137cm width and 100,000 Martindale rub test make it a strong choice for upholstery as well as curtains, and it is graded for contract and general domestic use. Its composition of 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose gives the cloth a resilient handle with a refined finish. FR to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, it is supplied in metre lengths and should be dry cleaned or washed with care at 30C.

How to use it

Use this parakeet green to bring a lively, tailored note to banquettes, dining chairs or a statement sofa. It pairs especially well with walnut, brass and warm neutrals, where the velvet’s depth can stand out.
