Botanic Trellis Papaya

Linnean Weaves FabricSAF0280-04

Botanic Trellis Papaya shows a neat trellis pattern in a lively papaya orange, with pale outlining that lifts the motif from the ground. The repeat feels orderly and finely scaled, giving the design a crisp, graphic presence.

About this fabric

Part of Sanderson’s Linnean Weaves collection, this fabric has a usable width of 140 cm, a standard length of 40 m, and a small repeat of 8 cm vertically by 5.8 cm horizontally. The 576 gsm weight and 222 threads per cm point to a substantial cloth with a dense, refined surface. In this colourway, the orange reads warm and sun-baked rather than bright, while the lighter trellis lines add contrast without softening the pattern’s clean geometry. The result is a fabric with enough body for upholstery, but a regular enough pattern to work equally well for statement drapery.

How to use it

Its papaya tone works well with oak, walnut, cane and other warm woods, where the orange brings out natural grain. Pair it with ivory or chalky neutrals to keep the trellis pattern looking fresh and architectural.

Use for tailored upholstery or crisp curtains where a lively, warm accent is wanted.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
