About this fabric

Shown here as a substantial woven fabric, Amberley Stripe Golden Knot has the feel of a grounded decorative textile rather than a light drape. The usable width is 142 cm, the horizontal repeat is 20 cm, and the cloth has a notably robust 500 gsm weight with 21 threads per cm. In this colourway, the golden base reads like mellow honey and straw, while the slim stripes soften into oat, sand and pale stone against it. That combination gives the pattern a tailored, English-country character that feels warm, but not overly saturated.

How to use it

Use this stripe on an upholstered armchair, ottoman or dining seat where its warm gold ground can bring depth without overpowering the room. It also works well alongside tan leather, chalky paint colours and olive accents for a classic, layered scheme.

Pairs neatly with oak, linen and muted greens for a tailored country look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Amberley Stripe Golden Knot without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
