Infinity Velvets Infinity Azure Wavy

Infinity Velvets Velvet

Infinity Azure Wavy is a deep teal velvet with a rippling, vertical strié effect that gives the surface real movement. In the light, the darker ground and brighter blue-green highlights create a layered, almost liquid depth.

About this fabric

This velvet from the Infinity collection is woven in 54% viscose and 46% polyester, with a usable width of 138cm and a Martindale rub test of 100000, making it suitable for severe contract upholstery as well as drapery and accessories. The swatch shows a dark, cool teal base broken by lighter azure-green streaks and narrow black shadows, so the pattern reads more like flowing texture than a hard stripe. Its 18cm horizontal and 17cm vertical repeat support the undulating, wave-like effect visible across the cloth. Treatable FR performance for drapery and upholstery adds practical value without diminishing the rich velvet pile.

How to use it

Pair this colourway with smoked oak, blackened metal and pale stone for a dramatic, contemporary scheme. It also works well as a tailored curtain fabric where the blue-green sheen can pick up daylight and soften the darker ground.

Use for statement upholstery or lined drapery where the dark teal ground can add depth.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Infinity Velvets Infinity Azure Wavy without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
