Infinity Velvets Infinity Midnight Flat

Infinity Velvets Velvet

Infinity Midnight Flat is a dark, layered velvet with a graphite-blue ground and flashes of teal and rust woven through the surface. Its abstract, blocky texture reads richly dimensional rather than flat, with the pile catching light across the darker base.

About this fabric

Woven in 54% viscose and 46% polyester, this Infinity Velvet has the substantial handle and sheen you would expect from a true velvet, while the surface pattern brings a textured, almost pixelated effect. The 138cm usable width and 100,000 Martindale rating make it well suited to severe contract upholstery as well as drapery and accessories. In this Midnight Flat colourway, the palette stays firmly cool and moody, with inky navy, slate and charcoal interrupted by sharper teal notes and small warm brown accents. The result is a fabric that feels urban and graphic, with enough depth to soften large pieces without losing its dramatic edge.

How to use it

Use it on an upholstered sofa, banquet seat or headboard where the midnight base can anchor the room. It also works well for curtains in a scheme with brushed metal, smoked glass or warm timber, letting the blue and rust flecks add interest.

The cool, layered blue finish brings depth to statement upholstery and dramatic curtains alike.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Infinity Velvets Infinity Midnight Flat without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
