Tarn Oak Green

Tarn FabricF4793-02

Tarn Oak Green reads as a softly weathered green with a warm oak-beige cast and fine speckled flecks across the weave. The finish feels quietly textured rather than boldly patterned, giving it an easy, understated presence.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric has a 145cm approximate width and a zero repeat, which suits neat cutting and simple upholstery runs. Its 35% linen and 27% jute content gives the cloth a dry, natural handle that is visible in the slubby, woven surface, while the blend of acrylic, cotton, polyester and polyamide adds stability. The colourway sits between olive and muted sage, with a softened oak undertone and tiny cooler flecks that stop it from reading flat. It is a restrained, grounded fabric rather than a bright green, and the texture gives the colour extra depth in the light.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, banquette or cushions where the earthy green can sit against timber, stone or linen upholstery. It pairs especially well with warm neutrals and aged brass, which bring out the oak tone in the weave.

A calm, textural green with a subtle flecked weave that works well across soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
