About this fabric

This Fabric from the Sandford collection by Colefax and Fowler is composed of 86% Cotton and 14% Polyester, with an approximate width of 136cm and a vertical repeat of 16cm and horizontal repeat of 22cm. In Clarence Olive, the design reads as a delicate spot-like damask in muted olive against a warm stone-beige background, so the motif feels detailed without becoming heavy. The surface looks crisp and lightly structured, with the darker pattern bringing just enough contrast to show depth as the light moves across it. The colourway has an understated, earthy character that keeps the design smart and easy to live with. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BH are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Clarence Olive for relaxed upholstered chairs, headboards or full-length curtains where the muted olive motif can add interest without dominating. It sits especially well with natural timber, chalky paint colours and other soft neutrals.

Works well for tailored upholstery or elegant curtains in a quietly patterned scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Clarence Olive without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
