Clarence Jade

Sandford FabricF4898-07

Clarence Jade shows a pale, jade-leaning ground threaded with a fine, dotted stripe that gives the surface quiet movement. The overall effect is fresh but softened, with the pattern reading subtle rather than high contrast.

About this fabric

This colourway of Sandford has a muted jade tone, with the tiny dotted motif sitting just a shade deeper than the background so the stripe appears gentle and diffused. The fabric is composed of 86% Cotton and 14% Polyester, giving it a natural, lightly structured look that suits both tailored upholstery and relaxed drapery. The repeat is V 16cm / H 22cm approx, and the width is 136cm approx, which makes the pattern feel orderly and easy to plan across larger pieces. The finish looks crisp rather than plush, with the small-scale design adding texture without overwhelming the room.

How to use it

Use Clarence Jade where you want colour that feels cool, calm and considered: on a bench, occasional chair or Roman blind it reads especially clean. Pair it with chalky whites, pale oak and brushed brass to keep the jade note fresh.

A restrained jade stripe with enough body for upholstery and a neat finish for curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Clarence Jade without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
