Ruskin II FabricF3923-16

Ruskin Sage is a softly muted sage green with a gently aged, tapestry-like surface. The botanical pattern reads quietly across the cloth, giving the colourway a calm, settled character.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is from the Ruskin II collection and is composed of 53% viscose, 25% linen and 22% cotton. At approximately 142cm wide, it presents a large repeat of V 64cm and H 36cm, which gives the floral pattern room to unfold across larger pieces. The visible finish is matte and textural, with the sage tone sitting in a restrained, greyed green rather than a bright herbal shade. The design feels detailed but softened, so the raised outline and clustered motif sit comfortably within the cloth rather than looking sharply printed. With no performance notes supplied and a fire code of √CM, it is a versatile decorative fabric for considered interiors.

How to use it

Use Ruskin Sage on a statement chair, bench or curtains where its muted green can read against oak, limestone and aged brass. It works especially well in rooms that need pattern without brightness, because the tone stays calm even in daylight.

Pair with warm timber and textured neutrals to let the sage ground a room softly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
