About this fabric

Woven in 53% viscose, 25% linen and 22% cotton, Ruskin Sand has the slightly slubbed, textural quality you can see across the surface, with the pattern reading in low contrast rather than bold outline. The repeat is approximately V 64cm / H 36cm, and the design drifts across the cloth in an understated, organic way that keeps the overall effect relaxed. At approximately 142cm wide, it is a practical furnishing fabric with enough body for upholstery yet a softness that also suits curtains and blind treatments. The sand colourway is warm and muted, with a pale beige base and faintly deeper, biscuit-toned movement catching the light.

How to use it

Use Ruskin Sand on an armchair, headboard or full-length curtains where a warm neutral is wanted without a flat finish. It sits especially well with pale oak, chalk white and brushed brass, letting the texture do the talking.

A warm neutral with a quietly tactile surface that works beautifully across soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
