Carnforth Natural

Tarn FabricF4799-12

Carnforth Natural is a soft, understated ivory with a linen-rich, lightly mottled surface. The plain weave gives it a calm, pared-back look with just enough texture to keep the colour feeling warm rather than flat.

About this fabric

Woven in a 139cm width, Carnforth Natural combines 41% viscose, 40% linen, 11% cotton, 5% acrylic and 3% polyester, with no repeat to interrupt the clean surface. The swatch reads as a gentle warm ivory, lifted by tiny natural flecks and the dry, slubby character of the linen content. That mix of fibres gives the cloth a softly tailored handle and a subtle sheen that appears and disappears as the light moves across it. With Q 8 + T 3 care coding and √BM fire performance noted, it is a practical choice for interior schemes that want a restrained, natural finish.

How to use it

Use Carnforth Natural where you want a quiet backdrop that will sit comfortably with oak, chalky paint colours and pale stone. Its soft warmth makes it especially effective on relaxed upholstered pieces, simple curtains or scatter cushions in airy rooms.

A quietly refined natural ivory that works well across upholstery and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
