Carnforth Pale Aqua

Tarn FabricF4799-07

Carnforth Pale Aqua has a calm, airy look, with a softly striated weave that reads as light and fresh rather than bright. The pale aqua tone sits over a gentle natural base, giving the surface a lifted, linen-led feel.

About this fabric

This fabric from the Tarn collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 139cm-wide textile with no repeat, making the subtle woven movement the focus of the design. Its composition of 41% viscose, 40% linen, 11% cotton, 5% acrylic and 3% polyester gives the cloth a softly textural hand and a lightly tailored appearance. In this colourway, the pale aqua sits in a cool, misted register, with just enough softness in the ground to keep it from feeling sharp or icy. The fine vertical slub and quiet cross-weave catch the light gently, so the surface feels relaxed and refined rather than glossy. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Carnforth Pale Aqua to bring a cool, restful note to upholstered pieces, blinds or relaxed drapes in rooms with pale oak, chalky whites or brushed nickel. Its diluted blue-green tone works especially well where you want colour, but only in a whisper.

A fresh, quietly textured aqua that works beautifully across softly tailored schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
