About this fabric

Woven in 78% Polyester and 22% Cotton, Balmoral FR has a practical fabric handle with a clear check structure and a slightly napped, tactile surface. The 140cm width gives good scope for upholstery work, while the 32cm vertical repeat and 35.5cm horizontal repeat create a strong, regular plaid layout. In this Amethyst colourway, the dominant plum base is warmed by burgundy and raspberry stripes, then sharpened with pale olive and cream lines that stand out crisply. The overall effect is substantial and tailored rather than delicate, with the darker ground helping the brighter bands read more vividly in the light. Care instructions are BQV1<.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, ottoman or bench where the plum ground can anchor the room and the brighter stripes add character. It pairs well with dark timber, warm neutrals and brushed metal finishes.
