Ruskin Plum

Ruskin Weaves FabricMOF0125-05

Ruskin Plum is a deep, muted purple woven in a quietly textured plain construction. Its dusky plum tone shifts gently across the surface, revealing the fine grain of the cloth rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

At 410 gsm, this is a substantial textile with the presence expected of an upholstery fabric. The close, even weave is visible as a fine crosswise and lengthwise texture, while slight tonal variation keeps the plum colour from appearing flat. With 22 threads per centimetre and a 140 cm usable width, it offers a dense, composed surface for covering chairs, footstools and other upholstered pieces. The 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats confirm that this colourway is plain and can be matched without motif alignment.

How to use it

Use Ruskin Plum to bring a dusky, cocooning depth to an armchair, sofa or dining seat, particularly alongside warm timber, aged brass and softly contrasting neutrals. Its restrained texture also works well where a room needs colour without a pronounced pattern.

A weighty plum woven cloth with subtle texture, well suited to upholstered seating and occasional furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
