About this fabric

This Morris & Co. fabric has a substantial 470 gsm weight and a usable width of 135 cm, making it well suited to upholstery. Its densely detailed surface is filled with curling tendrils, stylised foliage, pointed leaves and repeated floral centres, all arranged in a balanced ornamental layout. The ochre ground reads as warm and earthy rather than bright yellow, while the black accents create crisp contrast and the muted olive and red motifs add layered colour. The pattern repeats over 46 cm vertically and 45 cm horizontally, giving the design a clear, measured rhythm across the cloth.

How to use it

Use this warm ochre colourway on a statement armchair, footstool or occasional chair where its formal scrollwork can be seen at close range. Pair it with aged timber, dark brown leather and olive or rust accents to draw out the fabric’s earthy depth.

Its dense 470 gsm construction and intricate repeat make this a richly decorative choice for upholstered furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
