About this fabric

This colourway in the Odyssey collection is a plain with a dense, even appearance and a softly mottled depth that keeps the surface from looking flat. In Eggplant, the purple tone sits very dark and cool, with a near-black richness that becomes more apparent where the light catches it. It is made from 100% polyester and specified for contract use, with a strong 50,000 Martindale rating for demanding schemes. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it can be professionally dry cleaned in situ, with further care guidance available from the pattern book. The finish makes it well suited to hardworking seating where a serious, understated colour is needed.

How to use it

Use this shade on banquettes, occasional chairs or smart built-in seating where the dark purple can add depth without shouting. It pairs especially well with pale neutrals, warm timber and brass details for a confident, tailored interior.

A rich dark purple that brings depth and a tailored feel to contract seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
