Strawberry Thief Plum

Strawberry Thief Plum shows the classic Morris bird-and-botanical motif in a softened plum palette, with lilac, sage and warm cream details scattered across the ground. The small-scale repeat gives it a lively, tapestry-like surface that reads ornate rather than heavy.

About this fabric

This woven fabric has a usable width of 138 cm and a 27 cm vertical repeat with a 23 cm horizontal repeat, so the design settles into a regular, interlocking pattern across the width. At 226 gsm, it sits in a versatile mid-weight range that can be used for upholstery or drapery depending on the project. The plum ground is muted and slightly dusty, while the motifs add pale lilac, soft blue and leafy green accents that keep the overall look refined rather than bright. The result is a traditional decorative fabric with enough body for seating and enough visual movement to work beautifully on curtains or blinds.

How to use it

Use it where you want pattern and colour without losing elegance: on an accent chair, padded headboard or tailored curtains. The plum tone pairs especially well with aged brass, dark timber and chalky neutrals.

A richly detailed Morris pattern that brings a soft, antique plum tone to classic interiors.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Strawberry Thief Plum without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
