Golden Lily Slate/Dove

William Morris Designs FabricCCF0702-02

Golden Lily Slate/Dove presents a cool slate-grey ground with pale dove and ivory lily-like blooms, linked by curling stems in a delicate all-over arrangement. The subdued contrast keeps the floral pattern detailed without making the surface feel busy.

About this fabric

The cool slate background gives this colourway a softly blue-grey depth, while dove, ivory and muted green-grey details lighten the scrolling floral tracery. Clusters of lily-like flowers sit among curling stems and small leaf forms, creating a medium-scale repeat across the surface. The textile weighs 226 gsm and has a 138 cm usable width, making its pattern practical to plan across broad upholstered or dressed areas. Its vertical repeat is 26.8 cm and its horizontal repeat is 35 cm, so the floral alignment remains clearly visible while retaining an even overall rhythm.

How to use it

Use the slate and dove palette to bring quiet definition to a reading chair, headboard or relaxed curtain scheme, pairing it with chalky ivory, soft grey and weathered blue. The cool ground also works well against warm pale timber, where the light floral accents can pick up the room’s softer tones.

The cool slate ground and pale dove florals suit calm, layered interiors, from tailored upholstery to softly gathered curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Golden Lily Slate/Dove without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
