About this fabric

This jacquard is woven at 230gsm, making it a versatile mid-weight choice for both upholstery and drapery. The slate colourway leans grey with a subdued green cast, while ivory-grey leaves and flowers provide a lighter contrast across the surface. Its acanthus pattern has a 60cm vertical repeat and 47cm horizontal repeat, creating a clearly defined but not oversized rhythm. The 141cm usable width and 35m standard length make it practical for coordinated furnishing projects.

How to use it

Use Slate to temper warm timber, painted furniture or darker green accents with its cool grey-green depth. The pale foliage will read particularly well on a statement chair, Roman blind or full-length curtain where the 60cm repeat can be appreciated.

The cool slate grey-green ground and pale acanthus leaves bring layered botanical detail to upholstery, curtains and cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Acanthus Jacquard Slate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
