Acanthus Jacquard Linen

William Morris Weaves FabricCCF0754-03

Acanthus Jacquard Linen is shown here in a restrained cream and pale greige colourway, with curling acanthus leaves and floral forms flowing across the surface. Its woven relief gives the pale ground gentle definition without making the design feel busy.

About this fabric

The pattern combines sweeping acanthus foliage, pointed leaves and rounded flower heads in soft ivory against a lightly shaded greige-cream ground. The jacquard construction creates subtle tonal depth, with the raised pale motifs catching the light more clearly than the recessed background. At 230gsm and 141cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The 60cm vertical repeat and 47cm horizontal repeat give the repeating botanical layout a considered, medium-scale presence.

How to use it

Use this cool, softly muted cream-greige colourway for full-length curtains where its pale foliage can read clearly in changing daylight, or on an occasional chair paired with warm ivory and natural wood. Keep surrounding textiles quiet so the acanthus outlines remain the main detail.

A softly traditional jacquard in cream and pale greige, suited to curtains, occasional upholstery and calm classic interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
