About this fabric

Asta Slate from Jane Churchill is woven in 100% polyester and has a width of approximately 140cm, with no visible repeat at 0cm vertical and horizontal. The fabric’s surface shows a tight, lightly mottled texture that gives the colour a quiet mineral character. Its cool slate-grey tone sits between pale graphite and misty stone, with just enough variation in the weave to keep it from feeling flat. The C 8 + T 3 care code and K fire code make it a practical choice for interiors where performance is not noted but specification still matters.

How to use it

Use this slate grey on tailored upholstery, dining chairs or a bench for a crisp, contemporary finish. It also hangs neatly as curtains, where the soft woven texture will add depth to a pared-back scheme.

A versatile slate neutral that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or clean-lined curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
