Alaska Berry is a rich, low-sheen berry plum with a velvety-looking depth across the surface. Its plain weave reads clean and understated, with the colour doing the talking.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Alaska Berry is specified for Severe Contract Upholstery And Drapes and carries a 45,000 Severe Contract rub test, making it a practical choice as well as a decorative one. The 146cm width and 300gsm weight give it enough substance for furniture and window treatments, while the surface shown here has a fine, even texture rather than a visible pattern. In this colourway, the berry tone sits between plum and wine, with darker shading that makes the cloth feel deep and sophisticated. The finish appears softly matte, so the colour reads as saturated without looking glossy or bright.

How to use it

Its warm, dark berry tone works well on statement seating, especially when paired with walnut, brass or smoked oak. As drapery, it adds a cocooning, formal feel and looks particularly strong against pale plaster, stone or soft grey walls.

Use for tailored upholstery or dramatic drapery where a rich berry tone is wanted.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
