About this fabric

This colourway shows a muted mulberry shade with brown-plum undertones, broken up by a small, nubby weave that keeps the surface lively rather than flat. It is a plain from the Paolo collection, made in 52% Polyester and 48% Cotton, with a 40,000 Martindale rating and Heavy Domestic use. The back-coated finish is supplied to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and after care is Professional Dry Clean in situ, with the pattern book to be consulted for further instructions. Visually, the fabric sits between berry and taupe, so it feels more grounded and sophisticated than a bright purple.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, headboard or sofa where you want a restrained hit of colour with a grown-up edge. It pairs especially well with warm oak, smoked walnut and soft neutrals, letting the mulberry depth act as the room’s accent.
