About this fabric

This plain from J Brown’s Odyssey collection is woven in 100% polyester and specified for contract use, with a 50,000 Martindale rating for robust wear. The swatch shows a very deep plum shade, almost blackened at the edges, with a gently diffused surface rather than a glossy lustre. That muted finish gives the colour a refined, upholstered feel, and the overall effect is warmer than aubergine but darker than a classic wine tone. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it can also be treated further on request, and professional dry clean in situ care is advised.

How to use it

Use this plum on a clean-lined armchair, banquette or statement headboard where its depth can anchor lighter neutrals. It also works well against warm woods, bronze hardware and soft stone shades for a rich, tailored contrast.
