About this fabric

The velvet has a rich cornflower-blue tone, reading distinctly cool in the swatch, while the changing nap creates gentle bands of light and shadow across its surface. At 540gsm, it has the substantial handle expected of a furnishing velvet and is well suited to upholstery. The fabric has a 141cm usable width. With a 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it can be cut without matching a motif.

How to use it

Use this blue colourway on a tailored sofa or occasional chair where its cool depth can anchor an otherwise light room. Combine it with chalky whites, soft greys or warm natural wood to balance the velvet’s saturated tone.

Use this cool blue velvet to bring soft depth to sofas, armchairs and headboards, pairing it with pale neutrals or warm timber.
