Harlequin

Performance Velvets Coral

Performance Velvets Coral has a saturated rosy-pink tone with a warm coral cast, shown here shifting from soft blush highlights to deeper berry shading across the pile. Its smooth, light-catching surface gives the plain velvet a rich, tactile presence.

About this fabric

This plain velvet has a short, even pile that creates the fine, velvety texture visible across the swatch, while the folded surface reveals bright coral highlights and deeper raspberry-pink shadows. At 540gsm, it has the substantial weight expected of a hard-wearing upholstery velvet. The fabric has a 141cm usable width and no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, making the uninterrupted colour especially easy to position across upholstered forms. The warm, saturated coral shade feels expressive and enveloping rather than pale or sugary.

How to use it

Use Performance Velvets Coral on a reading chair, ottoman or curved sofa where its warm coral-pink tone can become the room’s focal colour. Balance the saturated velvet with chalky neutrals, walnut timber or muted olive accents.

Use this rich coral velvet to bring warmth and tactile depth to statement upholstery.

Pairs well with

Performance Velvets Coral is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
