Omega Velvet 4 Coal
Omega Velvet 4 Velvet201
Omega Velvet 4 Coal is a near-black velvet with a deep, shadowy finish and a subtle soft sheen. The pile reads smooth and dense in the swatch, giving the colour a refined coal tone rather than a flat black.

About this fabric
This plain velvet is part of Linwood’s Omega IV collection and is woven in a durable 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose blend. With a 137cm width and a 100,000 Martindale rub test, it is suitable for both contract and general domestic upholstery, as well as curtains and loose or fixed covers. The dark colourway absorbs light beautifully, but the velvet surface still catches a quiet sheen across the pile, which softens the overall blackened tone. Its stain-resistant finish and FR rating to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 make it a practical choice as well as a smart one.
How to use it
Use Coal on a contemporary sofa, tailored armchair or ottoman where you want a strong, grounded finish. It pairs especially well with pale stone, smoked glass and warm metallic accents to keep the darkness looking intentional rather than heavy.
A rich, contract-grade velvet for dramatic seating and tailored soft furnishings.

Pairs well with
Omega Velvet 4 Coal is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
