About this fabric

This heavyweight 417gsm velvet is well suited to upholstery, with a 134cm usable width for planning larger furniture pieces. The design is densely filled with pale, long-tailed birds, perched birds, botanical sprays and curled ornamental forms, all picked out against the near-black charcoal base. Ivory and muted blush-coral highlights soften the darkness without reducing its depth, while the velvet surface gives the colourway a plush, light-catching richness. The pattern has a 68cm vertical repeat and a 134cm horizontal repeat, with a standard length of 40m.

How to use it

Use Quetzal Velvet Charcoal on a feature armchair, headboard or sofa where its dark ground can act as an architectural anchor. Balance the ivory birds and muted coral accents with aged brass, walnut and warm neutral walls rather than competing prints.

Use the deep charcoal ground to anchor statement upholstery, pairing its ivory and coral motifs with warm metals and quiet neutrals.
