About this fabric

The image shows a dense, fuzzy surface in deep black, with fine charcoal fibres giving the ground a gently mottled appearance rather than a flat, uniform finish. There is no visible printed motif; the character comes from the short, tactile pile and the uneven way it catches the light. This dark colourway reads cooler and more atmospheric than a warm brown-black, making the texture especially noticeable at close range. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied, and no performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Earth - Jet on a deep-buttoned chair, sofa or ottoman where its near-black tone can emphasise the silhouette and its soft texture can prevent the finish feeling stark. Pair it with pale stone, aged timber or brushed metal to create contrast against the dark, charcoal-flecked surface.

Use this near-black, softly textured cloth to bring depth and a quietly luxurious finish to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
