Cairngorm Boiled Wool Boucle Fabric

Eclipse is a near-black bouclé with a dense, curly surface that reads almost black across the swatch. Subtle charcoal variation keeps the shade from appearing completely flat.

About this fabric

The compact, looped texture gives this colourway a softly irregular, tactile finish, while the very dark tone absorbs most of the light rather than reflecting it. Close inspection reveals fine charcoal movement within the black ground, adding depth without creating a visible pattern. The collection is identified as Cairngorm Boiled Wool Bouclé, and no performance features are noted for this fabric. Its dense visual weight makes it particularly well suited to upholstered seating and statement occasional chairs.

How to use it

Use Eclipse on a generous armchair, sofa or headboard where its near-black charcoal tone can create a quiet, enveloping focal point. Balance the depth with warm timber, pale stone or softly coloured textiles.

Use this deep, near-black bouclé to give upholstered seating a tactile, cocooning presence.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
