Cairngorm Boiled Wool Boucle Fabric

Vessel is a deep charcoal-grey bouclé with a dense, softly curled surface that reads almost black in the deeper areas of the swatch. Its understated texture gives the colour depth without introducing a visible motif.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a heavily textured bouclé surface built from tightly curled fibres in layered charcoal and graphite-grey tones. Subtle variation across the pile keeps this dark colourway from appearing flat, while the soft, irregular surface catches light in small muted flecks. The fabric’s visibly substantial, wool-like texture makes it best suited to upholstery rather than fine, fluid drapery. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Vessel on a compact sofa, armchair or headboard where its near-black charcoal tone can anchor a room without the hardness of a plain black textile. Pair it with pale oak, chalky walls and warm taupes to bring out the bouclé’s softer graphite variation.

Use this deep charcoal bouclé to give upholstered seating a quiet, tactile presence against lighter timber, stone or warm neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
