Hermitage Castle Undyed Wools Fabric

Hermitage Castle Doon has a softly mottled, pale grey-green appearance, with the gentle variation associated with an undyed wool weave. Its close texture gives the light colour quiet depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The surface combines pale stone-grey, muted sage and warm flax-like flecks in a closely woven, irregular texture. Fine horizontal and vertical yarn variation creates a subtle broken check effect, while the small-scale pattern remains low contrast. Light catches the raised threads unevenly, giving this colourway a softly tactile, weathered character. The restrained grey-green tone works as a calm upholstery neutral without appearing stark or purely grey.

How to use it

Pair this pale grey-green with chalky whites, natural timber and muted sage accents for a quiet, tonal room. Its lightly nubby texture is especially suited to upholstered headboards, occasional chairs or relaxed sofas.

Use its pale grey-green tone to soften upholstered seating while keeping the scheme quietly tactile.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
