Duma Noir

Breegan Jane x Clarke and Clarke Fabric FabricCCF0760-02

Duma Noir sets small, warm antique-gold big cats against an almost-black ground. The strong contrast makes each walking figure read as a discreet golden mark across the cloth.

About this fabric

The surface shows a deep charcoal-black ground with evenly spaced walking big-cat motifs in burnished gold and tan, creating a dramatic but controlled animal pattern. At 167 gsm, it has a light-to-midweight handle suited to both drapery and upholstery applications. Its 32.5 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats form a regular square rhythm across the fabric. The 130 cm usable width and 35 m standard length provide clear quantities for planning larger installations.

How to use it

Use Duma Noir to bring depth to a room through curtains, cushions or occasional upholstery, allowing the near-black background to anchor the scheme. Warm brass, dark timber and muted camel tones will pick up the gold-tan animal motifs without competing with their contrast.

Pair the near-black ground with warm timber, aged brass and rich neutral upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
