About this fabric

This 498gsm fabric has a weighty woven appearance suited to upholstery, with a dark charcoal-black ground that absorbs most of the light. Fine ivory and soft grey flecks break across the surface in irregular, closely worked lines, creating a textured effect rather than a flat solid. The design has a 43cm vertical repeat and 34.3cm horizontal repeat, giving the pattern enough scale to remain visible across a chair or sofa. With a 137cm usable width, Mason Noir offers a substantial, graphic finish for tailored seating and accent pieces.

How to use it

Use Mason Noir on a structured armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its black depth can anchor a room. Balance the broken ivory texture with warm timber, brushed metal or pale neutral walls.

Use its near-black depth and ivory texture to bring graphic contrast to contemporary upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
