About this fabric

This substantial 519gsm fabric combines a finely grained horizontal weave with a muted charcoal-grey base. Loose cream and pale stone fragments break across the surface in irregular vertical formations, creating an abstract pattern with visible depth rather than a strict geometric layout. The design has a 52cm vertical repeat and a 34.3cm horizontal repeat, giving the scattered marks a considered rhythm across the cloth. With a 137cm usable width and a recorded 40m standard length, it is well suited to upholstery projects requiring a dense, visually tactile textile.

How to use it

Use Monterrey Charcoal on a sofa, headboard or statement armchair where its warm grey depth can anchor a room. Balance the pale distressed marks with ivory, weathered stone and darker charcoal accents for a layered, quietly urban scheme.

Use the warm charcoal ground and pale distressed marks to add depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
