Chelsea Carbon

Chelsea Ii Fabric

Chelsea Carbon is a quiet, richly shaded neutral with a warm charcoal tone. Its close weave creates a softly mottled surface, giving the plain fabric depth without introducing a visible pattern.

About this fabric

The swatch is woven in a deep carbon grey that leans gently towards taupe-brown rather than reading as a stark blue-black. Fine vertical and horizontal yarn detail forms a restrained crosshatch, visible across the otherwise plain surface. Subtle shifts in the weave catch the light softly, making the colour appear gently varied instead of flat. As a textile fabric with an upholstery-weight appearance, it is well suited to tailored seating where a calm, grounded finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Chelsea Carbon on a clean-lined sofa or upholstered chair to anchor lighter stone, putty and warm timber tones. Its muted brown-grey depth also works well with brushed metal and softly contrasting textured cushions.

Use this softly textured charcoal neutral to bring depth to contemporary sofas, dining chairs or occasional seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
