Chelsea Charcoal

Chelsea Ii Fabric

Chelsea Charcoal reads as a deep, cool charcoal grey, with a quiet vertical grain visible across the close-up. The surface is plain rather than patterned, letting the shade provide the visual depth.

About this fabric

The tightly woven surface has a fine, subtly irregular grain that prevents this near-black charcoal from looking completely flat. Small tonal shifts catch across the cloth, giving the dark grey a softly textured, understated appearance. As no performance features are noted in the supplied specification, this fabric should be assessed against the intended upholstery application and project requirements.

How to use it

Use this cool charcoal on a tailored sofa, dining chair or ottoman to create a grounded, low-contrast base. Its restrained texture works particularly well with pale timber, warm metals or lighter neutral textiles that bring out the weave.

Use this cool, deep charcoal on upholstery where its quiet woven texture can add depth without introducing a visible pattern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
