Zalika Charcoal

Amara FabricCCF0172-01

Zalika Charcoal is a dense, finely patterned textile with a cool charcoal ground and tightly repeated pale-grey chevrons. Its close texture gives the surface a softly mottled appearance rather than a flat, solid colour.

About this fabric

The small-scale weave alternates charcoal and soft grey in a crisp, closely spaced herringbone effect, visible across the full swatch. Subtle shifts in the woven surface catch the light, giving this deep colourway restrained depth without introducing a strong contrast. At 581gsm and 140cm usable width, it has the substantial presence expected of an upholstery fabric. The pattern repeat measures 0.6cm vertically and 1.1cm horizontally, creating a continuous, finely textured surface on larger pieces.

How to use it

Use Zalika Charcoal on tailored sofas, dining chairs or occasional upholstery where its cool, near-black grey tone can anchor lighter timber, stone and muted neutral schemes. Pair it with brushed metal or pale upholstery piping to bring out the small grey flecks in the weave.

Use this dense charcoal-and-grey weave to add tailored depth to contemporary upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
