Asta Charcoal

Asta FabricJ0025-13

Asta Charcoal is a quietly textured plain with a deep, smoky grey character and a softly mottled surface. The close weave gives it a calm, tailored look that feels understated rather than flat.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a dark charcoal grey with a cool, slightly softened tone, broken up by the fine woven grain visible across the surface. The 100% polyester composition gives this fabric a practical, resilient feel, while the approx. 140cm width makes it easy to plan for upholstery projects. With repeat V 0cm / H 0cm approx., the design has no directional motif to interrupt its clean, textural finish. The overall effect is smart and restrained, with just enough surface variation to keep large pieces from looking heavy.

How to use it

Use this charcoal shade on sofas, dining chairs or banquettes where you want a refined neutral with more depth than grey. It pairs neatly with pale oak, blackened metal and soft off-whites for a crisp, modern scheme.

A grounded charcoal that works well as a tailored foundation across contemporary seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
