About this fabric

The fabric has a richly textured woven face, with uneven vertical flecks and broken patches in pale beige, stone and muted grey across the denim-blue ground. The contrast is softened rather than stark, giving the colourway a weathered depth as the lighter threads catch the surface. At 519gsm, it has a substantial handle suited to upholstery, while the 137cm usable width supports practical cutting. The design has a 52cm vertical repeat and 34.3cm horizontal repeat, with the irregular motif maintaining a naturally dispersed appearance across a larger upholstered area.

How to use it

Use Monterrey Denim on a sofa, armchair or statement headboard where its cool blue depth can anchor a room. Pair it with warm stone, aged wood and brushed metal to draw out the pale mineral-like marks without losing the fabric’s muted, atmospheric character.

The substantial 519gsm woven construction and cool denim tone make this a strong choice for upholstered seating and occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
