About this fabric

The fabric shows a spaced arrangement of potted plants, leafy stems and rounded botanical clusters, with the denim-blue details standing out gently against the light ground. Fine vertical texture in the ground adds subtle visual depth without competing with the illustrated motifs. With a usable width of 137 cm and a weight of 356 gsm, it has the substance suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats over 47 cm vertically and 42 cm horizontally, giving the individual pots room to read clearly across a larger piece.

How to use it

Use Hidcote Denim on a relaxed armchair, headboard or occasional seat where its cool denim-blue foliage can sit alongside ivory, weathered timber and soft grey-blue accents. Its pale ground also helps keep smaller upholstered pieces feeling light.

A pale ivory ground and muted denim-blue potted botanicals bring a soft, collected feel to upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hidcote Denim without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
