Hidcote Spice

Avebury FabricCCF0273-06

Hidcote Spice brings a warm oat-beige ground to the Avebury collection, scattered with small potted botanical illustrations. Terracotta, sage, blush and pale ochre details give this colourway a softly sun-warmed character.

About this fabric

The natural-looking ground has a fine crosshatched texture, while the repeated motifs show individual pots filled with delicate leafy and flowering plants. Muted terracotta outlines and foliage in sage, olive, blush and pale ochre create a gentle spice-toned palette rather than a high-contrast pattern. Weighing 356 gsm, the fabric has a substantial mid-weight presence suited to both upholstery and drapery. The design has a 47 cm vertical repeat and 42 cm horizontal repeat, with a 137 cm usable width and 40 m standard length.

How to use it

Pair Hidcote Spice with warm timber, woven textures and chalky neutral walls; pick out its terracotta stems or faded sage leaves in cushions and painted furniture for a layered, relaxed scheme.

Use the warm oat ground with natural timber, painted furniture and muted terracotta accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hidcote Spice without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
