Fairford Linen

Avebury FabricCCF0260-04

Fairford Linen has a softly mottled greige ground crossed by delicate ivory branches and small, feathery leaves. Its restrained contrast keeps the botanical pattern light and airy rather than decorative or bright.

About this fabric

The close, crosshatched surface gives this colourway a tactile woven appearance, while the pale ivory foliage emerges gently from the warm grey-beige background. With a weight of 297gsm, it has enough body for upholstery as well as curtains and blinds. The usable width is 137cm, with a standard length of 40m. Its botanical repeat measures 31.5cm vertically by 32cm horizontally, giving the scattered branches a considered medium-scale rhythm.

How to use it

Pair the warm pale greige ground with chalky whites, oatmeal upholstery and pale timber for a calm, natural room. The low-contrast ivory leaves also suit relaxed curtains or a softly upholstered occasional chair where the pattern can be seen at close range.

Use this softly toned greige botanical on relaxed upholstery, Roman blinds or full-length curtains with natural timber and ivory accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fairford Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
