About this fabric

The design shows slender, branching stems carrying individually brushed, feather-like leaves in layered denim blue, with some areas appearing paler where the weave catches the light. Against the cream background, the blue reads cool and softened rather than saturated, creating clear definition without a stark contrast. This 297 gsm fabric has a 137 cm usable width and a 31.5 cm vertical by 32 cm horizontal pattern repeat. Its mid-weight construction makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery, while the 40 m standard length supports larger-scale decorating projects.

How to use it

Use Fairford Denim to bring a calm, coastal-leaning blue note to a cream or warm-white room, particularly on relaxed seating, Roman blinds or full-length curtains. Pair it with natural wood and quiet textured neutrals to echo the fabric’s softly woven surface.

A softly textured cream ground with cool denim-blue feathery branches, suited to relaxed upholstery and curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fairford Denim without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
