Zion Charcoal

Avalon FabricCCF0409-01

Zion Charcoal is a dense woven upholstery fabric with a cool charcoal ground and a tightly repeated chevron-and-triangle pattern. Fine pale grey highlights catch across the surface, giving the dark colourway subtle depth rather than a flat black appearance.

About this fabric

The design is formed from closely spaced V shapes and small triangular accents, with alternating charcoal, graphite and muted silver-grey threads visible in the weave. Its 2.5 cm vertical and 3.4 cm horizontal pattern repeats keep the geometric scale compact and rhythmic across upholstery. At 519 gsm and 137 cm usable width, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstered seating and other hard-working interior applications. The deep, cool tone gives the pattern a sophisticated, architectural feel while the raised woven texture softens the contrast.

How to use it

Use Zion Charcoal on a statement armchair, dining seat or contemporary sofa where its cool grey depth can anchor a room. Balance the graphic weave with warm oak, chalky walls and tactile plain cushions in stone or soft grey.

Pair the cool charcoal ground with pale timber, brushed metal or soft grey upholstery for a quietly graphic scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
