Zion Noir

Avalon FabricCCF0409-05

Zion Noir is a deeply black woven fabric patterned with tightly spaced ivory and pale-grey chevrons. The high-contrast zigzag gives the surface a crisp, graphic rhythm while the weave keeps the finish tactile rather than flat.

About this fabric

The dark ground reads as near-black, with broken ivory-grey lines forming repeated V shapes across the face. Small flecks and variation within the woven pattern soften the contrast slightly and reveal the textile construction at close range. At 519gsm, Zion Noir has a substantial weight suited to upholstery, with a 137cm usable width. Its compact pattern repeat measures 2.5cm vertically and 3.4cm horizontally, creating a consistently busy geometric surface.

How to use it

Use Zion Noir on a statement chair, bench or sofa where its near-black tone can anchor a room and the pale chevrons can sharpen an otherwise restrained scheme. Pair it with warm timber or soft neutral upholstery to balance the graphic contrast.

Use this weighty black-and-ivory chevron to bring crisp graphic definition to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
