Amalfi Anthracite

Amalfi Fabric03

Amalfi Anthracite is a near-black plain with a cool, smoky depth and a very subtle woven grain visible in the surface. It reads as a clean, understated charcoal rather than a flat jet black.

About this fabric

This colourway sits in a deep anthracite-black tone with faint soft mottling that stops it looking harsh or one-dimensional. The surface shows a fine, tightly worked texture, which gives the dark shade a slight softness in the light. Woven in 100% polyester, this contract fabric is designed for hard-use settings and is supplied back coated to cigarette & match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request. With a 60,000 Martindale rating, Amalfi Anthracite is well suited to seating that needs a smart, resilient finish. Professional dry clean in situ is recommended, with the pattern book to be consulted for further care instructions.

How to use it

Use this anthracite tone to ground pale stone, warm oak or brushed metal, where its muted black depth will add contrast without feeling glossy. It works especially well on tailored sofas, banquettes and occasional chairs in contract interiors.

A dark, versatile charcoal-black for tailored seating and contract schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
