About this fabric

This Ebony colourway sits right at the darkest end of the palette, with only faint charcoal variation visible across the cloth. The plain design and lightly brushed look give it a restrained, contemporary finish rather than a glossy or velvet appearance. Made from 100% polyester, it is specified for general domestic use and has a Martindale abrasion result of 25,000, making it a practical choice for everyday furniture. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and can be machine washed at 30℃ or professionally dry cleaned in situ, with other treatments available on request.

How to use it

Use this deep black tone to sharpen pale upholstery schemes, or to ground warmer woods and metallic accents. It is especially effective on structured sofas, dining chairs, and occasional pieces where a clean, tailored look is wanted.

A dark, discreet plain that works well for tailored seating and dramatic accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
