Ashton Texture Soot

Ashton Lane Fabric

Ashton Texture Soot has a near-black charcoal ground with a close, tactile surface. Broken lighter flecks and uneven vertical tonal bands give the dark colourway visible depth rather than a flat black appearance.

About this fabric

The face is densely textured, with short directional marks shifting between soot black and softened charcoal grey. Broad, irregular bands can be seen through the weave, while the fine flecks catch the light subtly across the surface. This deep, cool-leaning colourway has a composed, architectural mood that suits structured upholstery particularly well. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification.

How to use it

Use Ashton Texture Soot on a tailored chair, sofa or ottoman where its near-black depth can anchor a room. Balance the cool charcoal tone with ivory upholstery details, pale wood or warm metallic accents.

Pair this deep soot tone with pale timber, warm neutrals or brushed metal for a quietly tailored interior.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
